Basketball Recap: Rapid City Central Takes a Loss

Rapid City Central lost against Brandon Valley back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rapid City Central Cobblers took a 60-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brandon Valley Lynx. While losing is never fun, the Cobblers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 74th, while the Lynx are ranked 11th).

Rapid City Central's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Brandon Valley, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1.

Looking ahead, Rapid City Central won't have much time to rest: their next match is against O'Gorman at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Brandon Valley, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Stevens at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Brandon Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last ten contests.
