Mumba Posts Huge Game in 37-22 Victory

Starting off the list is Highland's Amiri Mumba, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Mumba rushed for 211 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Mumba might have his next game, a home matchup with Del Norte, circled on his calendar. When Mumba last faced the Knights back in September of 2023, he rushed for 202 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry.

Jose Jaramillo posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He threw for 373 yards and four touchdowns while completing 76.5% of his passes, and also rushed for 67 yards on only five carries.

For the year, Jaramillo has thrown 12 touchdowns while averaging 166.9 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after nine games last season, he was only averaging 4.4 passer rating per game. This year he is averaging 72.29 passer rating.
