Lake Placid dropped their record down to 4-2 on Friday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Bolton Central Eagles by a score of 4-3. The game marked the Bombers' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lake Placid saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Lawrence, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

As for Bolton Central, they now have a winning record of 5-4-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since May 18, 2024.

On Bolton Central's side, Jace Hubert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up nine Ks. Hubert has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Placid will venture away from home to take on Moriah at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. The Bombers are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bolton Central, they are taking a road trip to square off against Schroon Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 8.6 runs per game this season.
