Volleyball Game Preview: Durand-Arkansaw Panthers vs. Unity Eagles

The Durand-Arkansaw Panthers will venture away from home to take on the Unity Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

It was a proper cat-fight when Durand-Arkansaw faced off against Prescott on Tuesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cardinals. The Panthers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 7th (when they won 3-0).

While Durand-Arkansaw won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 27-25, 25-16.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Unity, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on Spooner with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 25-21.

Durand-Arkansaw better focus on containing Elizabeth Jerrick and Katelyn Kahler as the pair were huge in Unity's win. Jerrick had 23 digs and four assists, while Kahler had ten digs and three aces. That's the most digs Kahler has posted over her last 14 matchups.

Durand-Arkansaw has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season. As for Unity, their win bumped their record up to 24-13.
