Llano is 4-0 against Florence since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Llano Yellowjackets will look to defend their home court against the Florence Buffaloes at 7:30 p.m. Llano has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with 25 straight losses, while Florence will come in with three straight wins.

Llano is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Stephenville on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Llano had to suffer through a 59-32 loss at the hands of Stephenville. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1544th, while the Yellow Jackets/Honeybees are ranked 304th).

The losing side was boosted by Konrad Zwicke, who posted 13 points. Carl Schutte was another key player, putting up seven points.

Meanwhile, Florence didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Sidney last Saturday, but they still walked away with a 54-50 victory.

Florence is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Llano, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-24.

Everything came up roses for Llano against Florence when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 72-25 win. In that game, Llano amassed a halftime lead of 44-8, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
