Soccer Game Preview: Ridgeland vs. Gilmer

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Ridgeland challenge Gilmer at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridgeland is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Ridgeland lost 10-1 to Calhoun on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Gilmer fell victim to Adairsville and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 4-0.

Gilmer's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 5-4. As for Ridgeland, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Ridgeland couldn't quite get it done against Gilmer in their previous meeting back in March of 2020 as they fell 4-2. Can Ridgeland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
