Softball Game Preview: Hart County Raiders vs. Grayson County Cougars

The Hart County Raiders will head out on the road to square off against the Grayson County Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Grayson County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Hart County, who comes in off a win.

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Friday as neither Hart County nor Adair County made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Raiders were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Indians. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Raiders have posted against the Indians since March 23, 2018.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Grayson County's offense. They came up short against Barren County on Friday, falling 17-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since March 20th.

Grayson County dropped their record down to 3-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Hart County, their win bumped their record up to 6-9.

Hart County couldn't quite get it done against Grayson County in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
