Baseball Recap: Miyamura Comes Up Short

Miyamura lost against Highland on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Miyamura Patriots took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Highland Hornets. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Miyamura saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Caravel, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Sean Torres also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Miyamura's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Highland, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miyamura will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Bloomfield at 1:30 p.m. on March 13th. As for Highland, they will face off against Del Norte at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
