Basketball Recap: Columbia Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Columbia waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Clearview Clippers by a score of 52-40. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Clippers back in January, they had to take a 60-49 defeat.

Despite the loss, Clearview still got an impressive performance from Cy Christensen, who went 6-for-15 on his way to 14 points and five boards. What's more, Christensen posted two blocks, the most he's had since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeffery Ball, who earned five points and eight rebounds.

Columbia's victory bumped their record up to 12-10. As for Clearview, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-10 record.

Columbia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 39-37 defeat against Andrews Osborne Academy on the 21st. As for Clearview, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 55-36 loss against Salem on the 21st.
