Basketball Recap: Camas Valley Falls Short of New Hope Christian in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Camas Valley can now relate to. They received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 56-41 to the New Hope Christian Warriors. The loss continues a trend for the Hornets in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost six in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead New Hope Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Barnett, who went 10-for-20 en route to 24 points along with six boards and five assists. That makes it 11 consecutive games in which Barnett has scored at least a third of New Hope Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cadence Gonzales, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds.

Camas Valley now has a losing record of 11-12. As for New Hope Christian, their win bumped their record up to 20-2.

As of now, neither Camas Valley nor New Hope Christian have any future games scheduled.
