Softball Recap: Weston Takes a Loss

Weston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Newtown Nighthawks, falling 14-1. The Trojans were not able to make up for their defeat to the Nighthawks from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Weston's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Newtown, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weston will challenge Wright Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newtown, they will face off against Kolbe-Cathedral at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
