Basketball Recap: South Side Comes Up Short

South Side was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 69-56 to the Shenango Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-43 back in December of 2025.

South Side's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Shenango, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, South Side will host Rochester at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shenango, they are taking a road trip to challenge Kennedy Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday.
