It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Jacksboro ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Henrietta Bearcats, sneaking past 9-8. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Bearcats last Tuesday, they had to take a 7-3 loss.
Brooke Reaves spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered seven earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Jacksboro let Brailyn Tullous and Lilly Perez run wild. Tullous scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances, while Perez went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Starr Wesson, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Coming up, Jacksboro will head out on the road to take on City View at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Henrietta, they will be playing at home against Iowa Park at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bearcats 3.2, the Hawks 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
