Football Recap: Ridgefield Memorial Takes a Loss

Ridgefield Memorial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Wood-Ridge Blue Devils 37-0.

Lia Russo had a dynamite game For Wood-Ridge., rushing for 71 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, while also picking up 39 receiving yards. Russo also deserves a shoutout for her performance on D, making one tackle and defending two passes in addition to snagging an interception.

Ridgefield Memorial's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Wood-Ridge, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Ridgefield Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wood-Ridge, they will square off against Secaucus at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
