Soccer Recap: Rio Grande City Comes Up Short

Rio Grande City lost against Juarez-Lincoln back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rio Grande City Rattlers came up short against the Juarez-Lincoln Huskies, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Rattlers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 652nd, while the Huskies are ranked 200th).

Rio Grande City has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8-2 record this season. As for Juarez-Lincoln, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2-1.

Rio Grande City will take on Nixon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Juarez-Lincoln, they will welcome Mission Veterans Memorial at 6:00 p.m. on February 7th.
