Recap: Rotan Yellowhammers vs. Aspermont Hornets
The Rotan Yellowhammers lost against the Aspermont Hornets back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Rotan was dealt a 60-20 loss at the hands of Aspermont. Rotan has struggled against Aspermont recently, as their game on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Aspermont to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaxon Hodges, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Hodges has scored at least 25% of Aspermont's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Seth Johnson, who scored 21 points.
Rotan has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season. As for Aspermont, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 13-6.
Rotan will be playing in front of their home fans against Paint Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Paint Creek comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Aspermont, they will head out on the road to face off against Roby at 7:20 p.m. on Tuesday. Roby is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
