Baseball Recap: Crismon Takes a Loss

Crismon has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.48 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They fell 10-5 to the ALA - Queen Creek Patriots. The Rattlers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Patriots earlier this season, when they won 7-6.

Preston Hammond made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Jackson Herzberg was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Crismon has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-6 record this season. As for ALA - Queen Creek, their record is now 21-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crismon will challenge Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something the Rattlers surely won't give up without a fight. As for ALA - Queen Creek, they will square off against Estrella Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
