Volleyball Recap: Lillie Furmall and Eva Casteel Secure Win for Floyd Central

Floyd Central entered their tilt with Jennings County on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Panthers 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Highlanders also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16, 25-20.

Leading Floyd Central to victory were Eva Casteel and Lillie Furmall. Casteel had eight digs and three aces, while Furmall hit 75% for six kills and 35 assists and seven digs. Furmall has been hot for a while, having posted 18 or more assists the last 16 times she's played.

Floyd Central's win bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Jennings County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 18 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season.

Floyd Central will take on Mt. Vernon at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for Jennings County, they will take on NorthWood in a tournament on Saturday.
