Basketball Recap: Junction City Takes a Loss

Junction City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 66-59 to the Cottage Grove Lions. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Junction City's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Cottage Grove, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Junction City will head out to challenge Marist at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cottage Grove, they will challenge North Bend at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
