Basketball Recap: Story Avitia Key Part of Team Effort in Cavaliers Win

After only 16 points in their last game, San Diego Academy made sure to put some points up on the board against School for Entrepreneurship & Technology on Thursday. The San Diego Academy Cavaliers strolled past the School for Entrepreneurship & Technology Lions with points to spare, taking the game 57-38. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

San Diego Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Story Avitia led the charge by dropping a double-double with 16 points and 15 rebounds. Avitia has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 22 times he's played. Caleb Lindquist was another key player, putting up 14 points and three steals.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nathan Toon, who posted nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Kane, who scored six points.

San Diego Academy's record now sits at 16-6. As for School for Entrepreneurship & Technology, their record now sits at 7-11.
