Basketball Game Preview: Hudson Explorers vs. Solon Comets

The Hudson Explorers will head out on the road to take on the Solon Comets at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hudson will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, Hudson strolled past North Royalton with points to spare, taking the game 45-27. Given the Explorers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while the Bears are ranked 379th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Solon lost to Wadsworth at home by a 68-50 margin on Wednesday. The Comets haven't had much luck with the Grizzlies recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Hudson's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Solon, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.

Hudson strolled past Solon when the teams last played back in December of 2025 by a score of 69-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Explorers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
