Cameron not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since October 17, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Comets in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Cameron never let Chetek-Weyerhaeuser on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-14, 25-20.

Aaliyah Thompson paced Cameron's offense, picking up nine kills. Thompson got some help from Emerson Krahenbuhl and her eight assists.

Cameron's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Cameron and Chetek-Weyerhaeuser could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings. The Comets will face off against McDonell Central at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (228 vs. 24). Meanwhile, Chetek-Weyerhaeuser (ranked 213th) will meet Cadott (ranked 105th) at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
