Baseball Recap: Jarrell Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Jarrell's offense. They fell just short of the Silsbee Tigers by a score of 2-0 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Cougars' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Jarrell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Warfield, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Jarrell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Silsbee, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Coincidentally, Jarrell and Silsbee will both be playing Thrall the next time they take the field. Silsbee will head out to face Thrall at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while Jarrell will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
