Basketball Game Preview: Lakeview Centennial Patriots vs. South Garland Titans

The Lakeview Centennial Patriots will challenge the South Garland Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lakeview Centennial is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Lakeview Centennial didn't have quite enough to beat Sachse and fell 58-56. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 759th, while the Mustangs are ranked 360th).

Meanwhile, South Garland was beaten by Wylie 88-33 on Tuesday.

South Garland's defeat was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Lakeview Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 7-16.

Lakeview Centennial strolled past South Garland in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 64-47. Will Lakeview Centennial repeat their success, or does South Garland have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
