Baseball Recap: Frost Triumphs

Frost's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Italy Gladiators 2-1. For the Polar Bears, this counts as revenge for the 15-11 victory the Gladiators walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Reid King spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Frost's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is 3-1 (and 1-8 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Frost saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Dyer, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Frost's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Italy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Frost will have a chance to go back-to-back against Italy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
