Recap: Glasgow Dragons vs. DuPont Tigers
Even though The Glasgow Dragons have not done well against the DuPont Tigers recently (they were 0-5 in their previous five matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Glasgow blew past DuPont 51-0 at home. Glasgow pushed the score to 45-0 by the end of the third, a deficit DuPont had no chance of recovering from.
Walter Bess was the offensive standout of the match as he rushed for 35 yards and two touchdowns.
Glasgow's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB eight times. It was a group effort, with three guys contributing.
The win makes it two in a row for Glasgow and bumps their season record up to 2-6. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 44.5 points. As for DuPont, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Glasgow will head out on the road to face off against Dickinson at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Delaware (Dickinson is ranked 42nd, while Glasgow is ranked 41st). As for DuPont, they will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Elizabeth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Elizabeth is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
