Football Recap: Central Crossing Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Central Crossing extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 19 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-9. They were dealt a 30-0 loss at the hands of the Westerville Central Warhawks. The Comets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warhawks from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Yardin Burgos threw for 123 yards on 16 of 25 attempts.

As for Westerville Central, they pushed their record up to 4-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Given their advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Central Crossing is ranked 440th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Rylan Moran was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 93 yards and one TD on only seven carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 56 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
