Baseball Recap: North Arlington Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

North Arlington not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23rd (when they won 14-3). They were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Weehawken Indians. Surprisingly, this marked the Vikings' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Vincent Hinojosa was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Chris Troyano was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Sam Rosamilia was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple.

North Arlington kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

With the win, North Arlington broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-13. As for Weehawken, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-8.

Coming up, North Arlington will head out to challenge Saddle Brook at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Weehawken, they will host McNair Academic at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
