Softball Game Preview: Blake Yellow Jackets vs. Leto Falcons

Blake hasn't had much luck against Leto recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Yellow Jackets will be playing in front of their home fans against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m.

Blake played against Sickles on Monday and lost via forfeit.

If Leto beats Blake with 23 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Everything went the Falcons' way against Middleton on Monday as they made off with a 23-8 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Falcons.

Leto got a massive performance out of Jayla Fernandez, who got on base in all six of her plate appearances with one home run, four stolen bases, and four runs. That's the most stolen bases Fernandez has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Brooklynn Duran, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Leto kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.8 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.6.

Leto's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Blake, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
