Soccer Game Preview: Palisade vs. Grand Junction

The Palisade Bulldogs will square off against the Grand Junction Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Palisade's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fruita Monument on Tuesday. Palisade have struggled against Fruita Monument recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Grand Junction kept a clean sheet against Glenwood Springs on Tuesday. They blew past the Demons 6-0. Considering Grand Junction have won five games by more than four goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Glenwood Springs with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Sedona Czarnecki (3), Micah Moralez, Evelyn Brown, and Merli Brown.

Grand Junction's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-5-3. As for Palisade, their loss dropped their record down to 6-5-2.

Palisade beat Grand Junction 2-0 in their previous matchup on Thursday. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
