Ensworth (Nashville, Tenn.) extended its winning streak to 10 games with a 41-24 victory over
Father Ryan (Nashville, Tenn.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Cornelius Elder touchdown run in the first quarter, the Tigers led 28-3 at the half.
Ensworth expanded its lead to 32 points entering the fourth quarter. EHS's lone score in the quarter came on a defensive touchdown.
Jamonte Graham made a difference for the Fightin' Irish. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown and ran for one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to five on the year.
Elder was the top performer for the Tigers. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns and caught one touchdown. A member of the Top 25 Athletes, Elder has now scored 31 touchdowns on the season.
Ensworth also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 29-7.
The defeat comes as a step back for Father Ryan, which notched a 17-0 victory over Battle Ground Academy in its previous outing.
