Soccer Recap: East Wilkes Comes Up Short

East Wilkes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 4-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the West Iredell Warriors. That's two games in a row now that East Wilkes have lost by exactly two goals.

East Wilkes' loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for West Iredell, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Wilkes will face off against South Stokes at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. East Wilkes are facing South Stokes at the right time seeing as South Stokes are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for West Iredell, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against East Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. West Iredell's defense better be ready for this one: East Lincoln have averaged an impressive 2.9 goals per game this season.
