Softball Recap: Ellsworth Takes a Loss

Ellsworth managed to slip by Old Town the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles lost 15-1 to the Coyotes on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

Ellsworth saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mya Schildroth, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base was Schildroth's first of the season.

Ellsworth now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Old Town, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Ellsworth will face off against rival Caribou at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Old Town is set to take on their familiar foe Presque Isle at 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
