Basketball Recap: Lakewood Comes Up Short

Lakewood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ionia Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-37 back in January.

Lakewood's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Ionia, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

Coming up, Lakewood will head out on the road to take on Waverly at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ionia, they will take on Greenville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
