Warren hadn't done well against Malvern recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Lumberjacks blew past the Leopards 16-1. The result was nothing new for the Lumberjacks, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Nathan Spears made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Bryson Harris was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Kolby Pope was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Warren was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .581. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Warren has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Malvern, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.
