Softball Game Preview: South Beloit Sobos vs. Delavan-Darien Comets

The South Beloit Sobos will venture away from home to take on the Delavan-Darien Comets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

South Beloit is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 20 runs on Wednesday, they were much more limited against Orangeville on Thursday. They came up short against the Broncos, falling 16-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Sobos in their meetings with the Broncos: they've now lost seven in a row.

South Beloit saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bella Glidden, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double.

Meanwhile, Delavan-Darien fell victim to Monroe and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 24-0 to the Cheesemakers.

South Beloit's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Delavan-Darien, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-16.
