Basketball Recap: Atkinson County Rebels vs. Echols County Wildcats

The Atkinson County Rebels came tearing into Friday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Echols County as Atkinson County made off with a 74-54 win. Atkinson County pushed the score to 68-43 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Atkinson County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kamari Moore, who scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'Kari Northcutt, who scored 22 points.

Atkinson County's win was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6.
