Baseball Recap: Midfield Comes Up Short

Midfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Altamont Knights, falling 24-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 last Tuesday.

Midfield's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Altamont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Midfield will face off against Pinson Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Altamont, they are taking a road trip to challenge Victory Christian at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Altamont 3.8, Victory Christian 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
