Football Recap: Statesboro Blue Devils vs. Lakeside Panthers
A win for Statesboro just wasn't in the cards on Friday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They lost 31-8 to the Lakeside Panthers. The Blue Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lakeside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ty Jones led the charge by throwing for 138 yards and a touchdown while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also rushing for 72 yards on only seven carries. Brandon Grissom was another key rusher, rushing for 71 yards and a touchdown.
