Basketball Game Preview: Telfair County Trojans vs. Hawkinsville Red Devils

The Telfair County Trojans will head out to square off against the Hawkinsville Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hawkinsville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Telfair County, who comes in off a win.

On Saturday, everything went Telfair County's way against Toombs County as Telfair County made off with a 49-28 victory. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Hawkinsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wilcox County. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while the Patriots are ranked 136th).

Hawkinsville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Telfair County, their win bumped their record up to 12-3.

Everything went Telfair County's way against Hawkinsville in their previous meeting two weeks ago, as Telfair County made off with a 61-40 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Telfair County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
