Basketball Recap: Anderson Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Anderson Prep Academy lost against Lapel back in January of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Anderson Prep Academy Jets were dealt a 95-55 defeat at the hands of the Lapel Bulldogs.

When it comes to explaining why Anderson Prep Academy lost, don't look at Camron Anderson. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 15 en route to 21 points. Zamarion Bryant was another key player, going 5 for 9 on his way to 11 points.

Lapel was led to victory by Devin Craig and Brode B Judge. Craig went 9 of 13 en route to 23 points and five assists, while B Judge went 9 for 16 on his way to 21 points. Those 23 points gave Craig a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Jones, who went 5 of 9 en route to 11 points and six boards.

Anderson Prep Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Lapel, the win made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Anderson Prep Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-58 victory against Blue River Valley on the 15th. As for Lapel, they and Hamilton Heights will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hamilton Heights will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lapel surely won't give up without a fight.
