The Oldham County Colonels earned an 8-3 victory over the Wayne County Cardinals on Tuesday.

Clay Cartledge was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.
