Williamson hadn't done well against Sayre recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Warriors had just enough and edged out the Sabres 3-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-8 back in March.

Christian Ling was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jack Nolan, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

With the victory, Williamson broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6. As for Sayre, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coincidentally, Williamson and Sayre will both be playing Cowanesque Valley the next time they take the field. The Warriors will host the Indians at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Sabres will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
