Softball Preview: North Augusta Yellow Jackets vs. Chapin Eagles

North Augusta has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Chapin Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (North Augusta: 3.6, Chapin: 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

On Tuesday, North Augusta sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 13-12 victory over Lexington.

Sarah Henry was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 4-for-4. Celeste Truesdale was another key contributor, going 1-for-4 with a home run.

Meanwhile, in what's become a running theme this season, Chapin gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. Everything went their way against White Knoll as Chapin made off with an 11-0 victory.

North Augusta is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. As for Chapin, their win bumped their record up to 16-4.
