Eastern is a perfect 4-0 against Lewis Cass since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Comets will square off against the Kings at 6:00 p.m. Eastern will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Eastern barely beat Clinton Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Comets were the clear victors by a 13-4 margin over the Bulldogs on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Comets, who have now won 14 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lewis Cass was not the first on the board on Wednesday, but they got there more often. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Manchester, sneaking past 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Kings have posted since April 8th.

Lewis Cass' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-9. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Eastern, their win bumped their record up to 19-5.

Eastern was able to grind out a solid victory over Lewis Cass in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
