With a playoff win on the line, Clovis West rose to the challenge on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Palo Alto Vikings 3-2. The victory was nothing new for the Golden Eagles as they're now sitting on three straight.

Clovis West wouldn't go down easily and took Palo Alto into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-21, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12.

Brooklyn Lopez paced Clovis West's offense, picking up 20 kills. Lopez got some help from Eve Dixon and her 44 assists. Lopez was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Clovis West's win bumped their record up to 30-13. As for Palo Alto, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 22-10 record this season.

Clovis West didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against St. Francis on the 18th. Palo Alto does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
