Volleyball Recap: Spencerville Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Spencerville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Ada Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Spencerville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-21, 25-18.

The victory was the third in a row for Ada, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Spencerville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Waynesfield-Goshen on the 23rd. As for Ada, they will challenge Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
