Volleyball Recap: Highlands Takes a Loss

If Highlands was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Chesterton Academy of Sacramento on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Scots lost 3-0 to the Vacaville Christian Falcons on Monday. The Scots were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-4, 25-9, 25-8.

Vacaville Christian found their leader in sophomore Bella Linton, who had 12 assists and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Linton.

Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Vacaville Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highlands will host San Juan at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Scots are facing the Spartans at the right time seeing as the Spartans are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Vacaville Christian, they will square off against Mesa Verde at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
