Softball Recap: Riverview Snags Seventh Victory in Last Nine Games

While Riverview put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Brandon. The Sharks put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 13-0 victory. The Sharks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Juliet Sederio, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylie Freeland, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Riverview is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Brandon, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Coming up, Riverview will face off against Tampa Bay Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sharks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 12.5 runs per game this season. As for Brandon, they will welcome Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
