Waupaca has gone a perfect 10-0 against Oconto Falls recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Comets are taking a road trip to square off against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m.

Waupaca can't be too happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Tuesday. They took a 57-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Berlin. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Meanwhile, Oconto Falls gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against Menominee Nation by a score of 76-65. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Oconto Falls' win came from a few key players Waupaca will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brady Bursa, who shot 92% from the field to rack up 25 points along with six rebounds and five assists. That's the most boards he has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jameson Beaman, who went 8-for-15 en route to 22 points and six rebounds.

Waupaca beat Oconto Falls 70-61 in their previous meeting back in February. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Panthers' JJ Pytleski, who shot 53% from the field on his way to 22 points.
